ABOUT US

Fredon Corporation offers complete manufacturing solutions for precision machining needs. Precision parts are manufactured to the customer’s specifications – each project is unique in material, size, and quantity. We also work with customers and their engineers to produce prototype parts and we specialize in difficult or challenging projects.

We’ve been in business since 1969, and always go “one step beyond” to provide our customers with the highest level of quality through planning, employee involvement, training, technology, and a highly effective quality-control system.

We also firmly believe in giving back to the community. Our founder and CEO, Roger Sustar, started a group called the AWT – Alliance for Working Together – to serve as a forum for manufacturers in Lake County to discuss common business issues. Over the last two years, the group has refocused their efforts to develop an Associates Degree in Advanced Manufacturing at Lakeland Community College.

We’re always looking for hard-working, dedicated people!

Building Pathways to Careers in Manufacturing

The Alliance for Working Together (AWT) was started in 2002 as a small, informal group of manufacturers, who met to discuss topics of interest and best practices among local manufacturers. Finding skilled workers was quickly identified as one of the top challenges for our manufacturers.  Promoting rewarding careers in manufacturing became the core mission of the organization. In 2012, the AWT Foundation became a 501-(c)3 non-profit. Since then, the AWT Foundation now has 500+ manufacturing companies, community organizations, and school members all engaged in promoting rewarding manufacturing careers!

Conflict Minerals Policy Statement

As a global supplier of aerospace components and machined products, Fredon Corporation is aware of our obligations with regards to laws and regulations regarding Conflict Minerals, specifically the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, Section 1502. The Conflict Minerals Rule requires publicly traded companies to report annually the presence of conflict minerals (tin, tungsten, tantalum and gold, or “3TG”) originating in the Democratic Republic of the Congo or adjoining countries.

Fredon Corporation, a privately-held company, supports the goal of ending violence, human rights violations and environmental devastation in the Covered Countries. We are committed to complying with any requirements applicable to our Company under the Conflict Minerals Rule.

As part of our policy, we encourage our suppliers to undertake reasonable due diligence with their supply chains in an effort to assure that our “conflict minerals” are being sourced only from mines and smelters/refiners outside the Covered Countries, or mines and smelters/refiners which have been certified by an independent third party as “conflict free” if sourced within the Covered Countries.

Fredon Corporation will work with our customers cooperatively in connection with their conflict minerals programs, and we expect our suppliers to support us in implementing the necessary conflict minerals compliance programs.
